I am writing to give my highest recommendation for Mary Grace Reyes to receive a GIC HIMSS Scholarship. As her professor, I find her to be such a wonderful student and passionate about improving care through informatics!
Master of Science in Nursing – Informatics
I have taught Grace in two classes so far in her Master’s program, where she is specializing in Informatics. The two classes are Practice in Nursing Informatics and Information Workflow In Healthcare. As an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse, Grace has contributed valuable clinical insights to our classes. However, she is instrumental in the transition from Cerner to Epic in her organization. Moreover, her work in our classes highlights the value she adds to patient care and the implementation of new workflows and systems.
Grace produces wonderful papers and projects. Firstly, they exemplify her passion for transforming care. Also, they signify her earnest desire to integrate information systems in an interdisciplinary fashion. As a result, she eagerly applies her learned knowledge to her practice area.
I look forward to seeing Grace succeed and accomplish her goals as I strongly believe she will be an informatics leader and a valuable contributor to healthcare transformation for many years to come!
